Wolfgang who? |

OK, so I don't like Mozart. So shoot me.
It's not like I don't like classical music at all - I do enjoy the Romantics a great deal, and a good bit of Bach once in a while is definitely great. I can take as much Saint-Saens as I can find, same thing for Vaughan Williams. I used to be very big on Wagner, although that has somewhat abated of late, but I have sat through the whole "Ring of the Nibelung" suite twice, and enjoyed it immensely. (Well, not in one go of course, the singers do need a break once in a while). But Mozart.... Well, I just can't get into that. It's too... clean. Even. Shall I consume the ultimate blasphemy and admit that I would call it uninspired? Put down the stones. I am married to a musician. I said put down the stones!

Just curious...How much did you pay for your cello?
I Recently bought a \"shiny\" new cello for $250, and after visiting a music store (today) I want to trade it in for an older model. I prefer the worn look.

My cello is a really cheap one - about $100 I think. Good for a beginner, but not really for serious playing. I\'m still using it though, after 9 months or so. Later on I may upgrade to a better model, but I was told to expect to pay at least $1300 for a decent one, so, I\'ll wait at least until I take to tape off to get that one :)
