Wycliffe Well is a little outpost on the Stuart Highway,
about 20 km South of the
Devils Marbles.
It is as remote
a place as you will get in the Outback while still remaining
by a sealed road.
Wycliffe Well is also Australia's answer to Roswell: the Australian UFO capital. The caravan park contains artwork throughout that is really worth seeing, has a small railroad, some animals, and there is even a lake under construction - which may well be finished by now. If you ever are in the area, make sure to spend the night! The sunset looked very interesting on the night we stayed there, due to some bush fires nearby. Staying at Wycliffe Well was one of the unexpected highlights of our trip.
